Polyteia: agile and constantly on the move

Offices

Objective

Polyteia, the German public administration consultancy founded by Faruk Tuncer, needed to move its workspace from a co-working space on Lobeckstraße to its own office where it could grow and accommodate as many workstations as possible.

The new office had to cater for a young team of 32 staff, with an average age of 28, who were looking for a flexible and dynamic environment where quiet, focused workspaces could coexist with more collaborative and meeting areas.

Following an initial meeting with the client, during which Colobo assessed the needs of the Polyteia team and drew up a design plan, Actiu developed three proposals for the layout of the space.

Solution

Located in the Kreuzberg district, the new offices reflect the working philosophy of a highly agile, dynamic and flexiblecompany in terms of hierarchies and working hours. An open-plan space, featuring a kitchen and an open communal area, fixed and flexible workstations, and three meeting rooms separated by glass partitions.

The original floor plan has been retained, apart from the installation of glass partitions for the meeting rooms and a slatted screen opposite the toilets to provide privacy; the electrical and lighting systems have been designed with the furniture layout in mind.

In keeping with the team’s youthful and dynamic spirit, Actiu has contributed ergonomic furniture that allows for easy rearrangement of the layout, discourages a sedentary lifestyle and promotes a healthier way of life. These solutions combine high technical performance with a refined aesthetic, interspersed with greenery thatconnects with nature and enhances well-being.
